Do you mean the show in Yalta, Gabriela? He skated to "Winter" and "Bumbarash."

While the focus of the article was on Chulpan not agreeing to the fees, and I don't have a lot of faith in the author's command of the facts, LOL, I do
think it's possible that we could see Tatiana Arntgolts and Vitaly Novikov since those partnerships were, in my opinion, pretty successful. And whatever
commitments they had that meant they couldn't continue with the show may have changed for the upcoming season. But....we'll see!

Well, I won't argue with Novikov returning!

And if Ice Age runs true to form, there will be all kinds of rumors, truth, and complete fabrication in the tabloids long before the series actually starts
taping again, LOL...

Maxim Staviski risks being also taken by Brian Joubert to "refine "the free programme.
Normally Albena and Maxim have to go to Poitiers in August (I do not know length).

Some Alexei mentions in this article on Russian athletes who turned to business ventures...
http://www.sobesednik.ru/archive/sb/27_2009/sport_27_2009/ >> Champions pack gold Russian athletes successfully master enterprise, opening cafes, auto sales salons, hotels, and stores. Earlier our athletes spoke only in favor of honor of country, but nowadays victories pay decent money: win the Olympic Games - obtain 100 thousand dollars, take a world championship title - on average 20 to 30 thousand dollars in the pocket. Certainly, first of all, the guys buy a car, then an apartment, and further they think: career will soon end - how will I live? Many attempt to organize their own business. Yagudin buys houses in America Aleksey Yagudin also works in real estate, but in America. - I buy houses on credit and then sell them - says the figure skater. Loan rates in America are 4-5%, in Russia - 10-12%. Suppose, in Russia, I buy a house for 100 thousand dollars and rent it out. In America, for the (same) money, I immediately buy five houses and rent them out. Because there the starting fee - 20% from each. Plus, when you rent (out), you are actually paid the same credits. So remains a certain profit. That is the arithmetic. Aleksey Yagudin also has a car company in St. Petersburg, but not so long ago, he turned this area of business. (I'm not sure I understand this part, but I think the author means he sold it.) >> Laurie |

Also, from the Ice Symphony site:
http://www.icesymphony.org/icenews/big_fight/ "Ice Age" at Big Race >> At the beginning of July, the team "Ice Age" was held in France, where in a cozy town near Paris passed the tapings of the TV program, "Big Race." To defend the sports honor of the country came: Ilya Averbukh, Aleksey Yagudin, Maxim Marinin, Irina Slutskaya, Margarita Drobyazko, Dmitriy Miller, Vadim Kolganov, and Alisa Grebenshchikova. Who could resist such a team? Our team won all four battles and became the winner. >> Laurie |

Another article on Anna Semenovich's upcoming August issue as guest editor of "Mini" magazine. Since Alexei will be featured, I wonder if there
will be any wedding coverage? It would be quite the coup!
There will be advance promo of the issue on the Russian TNT channel and the radio station, Europe Plus. http://rwr.ru/news/smi/smi_3830.html Laurie |

Not that anyone will verify, LOL. Rumor has it as this summer, rumor has it as this fall. From the principals themselves, not a peep...tabloids say, though,
that one of the magazines is going to cover it. I would think that if that is the case, the magazine would be LED, Averbukh's magazine. But when I saw the
Mini promo, I wondered if that could be it, too.
