It was really hard because there were so many excellent, excellent performances here. I thought Valeria and Alexei really brought their A game to the finals, and never let up for one minute - they just got stronger and stronger with each number. But, since I had to choose. , I finally went with "Pirates of the Caribbean." The music is an adventurous, spirited soundtrack, the type of music I will always associate with Alexei because nobody ever does the swashbuckling hero better, LOL. But, even better, it gave him free rein to just have fun with the character and completely inhabit the Jack Sparrow role - and it was a superb job, too. The competition was tough, though! I thought so many of these performances were simply fab - "Dedication to Women," "Romance," "The Man I Love"...great stuff! Laurie

However, I had to go with "Je t'aime". I saw this live in Germany and it completely took my breath away. Anna

It's taken me a heck of a long time to do it because it's a dead tie between "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Je T'aime," LOL.However, "Je T'aime" edged out a little more over "Pirates." There's nothing like a good poll where it's nearly impossible to choose the program you like the best. Thanks, Laurie, (I think) or maybe I should be saying "curses, you've done it, yet, again. Posts: 47092 (05/23/09 5:32 AM) Fearless Leader Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	It looks like "Je T'aime" is the current leader, but it wasn't one of my most favorite. I love the music, and the skating was great - just something about it didn't move me quite as much as the others. I do think the contrast between the Averbukh and Zhulin programs is interesting. Zhulin's are more seamless in choreography, the skating moves are lovely and seem to flow gracefully in and out of the theme, the focus more on the skating than the storyline. Averbukh goes for big moves, emotional impact, and theatricality - a hit straight to the gut. I love both. Laurie
