Had I known how many skaters would change coaches this year, I would have just started a thread as "Coaching Changes." 
I dunno. I think the Olympic season is probably not the time to change coaches - on the other hand, if the situation is intolerable, better late than never. And after Carolina's absolutely disastrous performance at Worlds in L.A. - what else can she do? Not that I blame the coach, but whatever problems a skater is having psychologically can sometimes be alleviated by making a change - any change.
No new coach has been announced. Rumor has it that they are considering Brian Orser, but that will never happen, LOL. He's committed to Yu-Na Kim as his primary ladies' singles skater.

Isn't it just a wee bit late in the off season for
this kind of thing? Does this mean Fumie is training in Russia? It sort of makes me think that these skaters are getting desperate leading into the Olympics,
like it's the last Olypmics ever or something, LOL. I don't recall this many coaching changes in the months leading up to previous Olympics. Or has
there been and I'm just not aware of it?
