Okay, here's some news on Alexei from the show in Dnepropetrovsk yesterday. Looks like Alexei skated to "Bumbarash" and "Overcome."
From San007 of the Ice Age forum: >> In general the audience accepted the participants warmly. For example, with Yagudin the hall was so noisy that it was possible to become deaf. Yagudin - "Bumbarash" - Well, Yagudin can do everything and furthermore to prove it is not necessary. Number was in one breath and in spite of the fact that the rate of the music sometimes varies. The hall did not stop applauding for one second up to, after, and during the number. Here only one of the jumps he has decided to jump too close in the corner, where normally to take off was very difficult. More shortly he already jumps, but in air understands that in vain he does, and decides to not jump since the boards are right there. But the train, as they say, has already left. It has turned out chaotically, but Yagudin nevertheless has resisted and has not fallen. All equally I put 6.0, he has deserved it wholly. Yagudin - music in the style of an era, precisely I do not know (it was "Overcome"). Very strong number in power and skating. In the middle of the dance the moonwalk steps, and then the well-known "Winter" steps. Both have started a storm of applause. Leah from the Ice Age forum reports on the show in Kiev today. She says the celebrities that performed were Kolganov, Miller, Alferova, Brezhneva, and
Strizhenova. Skaters were Alexei, Slutskaya, Abt, Petrova & Tikhonov, Drobiazko &Vanagas, Navka & Kostomarov, and Totmianina & Marinin. (There
may have been more skaters, but their numbers were the ones listed in her posts).
Alexei skated to "Bumbarash" and "Overcome" and very well. She also notes with amusement that people sitting next to her seemed astonished when skaters performed with skaters, and that they tried to remember which was the skater and which was the celebrity when Totmianina & Marinin performed.

Drobiazko & Miller - number of the finale - they are very harmonious in these means, number is staggering! Navka & Kolganov - "Shtirlits" - Vadik appears well on the ice, number strong and emotional - skated without errors Lesha Yagudin - "Bumbarash" - very, very class number, Lesha such is class, and I was greatly pleased he skated Ira Slutskaya - music I do not know, beautiful number Intermission Abt - "Gasolina" - dance passed on "hurray" Brezhneva & Azroyan - "Winter Garden" - it is lyrical, it is quiet - tried, fine people Drobiazko & Miller - "Carmen" - Rita's Carmen is present - Dima is handsome man - so much passion, emotions Alferova & Vanagas - "Korolev and chute" - strong, it is beautiful, it is easy, with the nerve - fine people! Petrova & Tikhonov - music I unfortunately do not know, very beautiful, lyrical - they for me were best - the hall did not release! Totmianina & Marinin - "Tango" - it is beautiful, technical, without errors Ira Slutskaya - "Fortune Teller" - Ira ignites all, it was desirable also to have a dance - was gay, easy, fiery, a sea of positive Strizhenova & Tikhonov - number of the finale - Katya in this number obtained pleasure, and generally she was today in a very good mood, entire shone, smiled Navka & Kolganov - "Wedding" - very merry number, they both in it cheered themselves and always they smiled Lesha Yagudin - music again I do not know - Lesha is exquisite - his path of steps - this is something - hall rejoiced Navka & Kostomarov - "Horses are Priveredlivye" - dance is simply super, technical, emotional >> Laurie |

Report from the December 26th show today at Khodynka Field in Moscow from the Quiet Haven forum - Alexei skated to "Bumbarash" and
"Overcome" and the audience went crazy - the poster said she could hear the noise through the phone (fans called in from the venue, LOL).

In today's Moscow show, Alexei skated to "Bumbarash" in the first act and to "Parisienne Walkways" with Valeria in the second act.
Hopefully, there will be video!
Fans from the Quiet Haven forum were able to present Alexei and Valeria with their gifts at the intermission. At the end of the show, Averbukh announced to the crowd that they did not crown victors and due to numerous requests they are continuing the show into 2009. Laurie |
