It wasn't on the very first list, but it's been on a reliable list since 11/11/08, and it's been on the official list since the first one was
posted.
Yes, it is Davos in Switzerland. I guess you are going? Laurie |

Little promo for the tour date in Israel on February 14th - the video and the photos are from last year's show, but here's an excerpt from the article:

The new names will appear among them: Ekaterina Gordeeva, Alexander Abt, Maxim Staviskiy…and, of course, to the ice again will arrive Aleksey Yagudin, Tatiana Navka, Irina Lobacheva, Maxim Marinin, Tatiana Totmyanina, Maria Petrova, and… >> Laurie

Oh, I don't know, it IS at the other end of Switzerland... Decisions, decisions
Wanna come? I can pick you up at Zurich! Art on ice has some dates scheduled for Zurich too, or you could come to Lausanne on Feb 3 and 4... Anna |

Ah, I wish I could!
Unfortunately, my figure skating money is mostly already tied up with Worlds in L.A. (I can't miss Worlds in my own state, LOL), but I have enough for one more skating trip with a free flight that I can take due to my frequent flyer miles, and I'm using that for the Atlantic City "Ice Age" show. Tempting, though! I loved my time in Lausanne. Laurie |

I am looking for accommodation in Davos, and guess what? I cannot find anything! Not even one single room! Apparently the World Economic Forum takes place that
week, and everything is booked! Also, because of the security measures for the same event, sleeping in the car is pretty much out of the question. Just wanted
to share these exciting news with you

Is there a town that's maybe close to Davos?

Klosters (pure charm and beauty) is on the same rail line (from Zurich) as Davos and not far at all. If you take the train to Davos (and the train journey
from Zurich alone is worth the price of admission - utterly spectacular) and get off in the middle of Davos at the Davos Platz station, the ice rink is only a
5 minute walk down the street (Talstrasse) to the right. The big hotels, as you may know, are all along a much fancier strip half way up the hill (or in Davos
Dorf, a different part of town) but there are several small, modest hotels on Talstrasse in Davos (the Ammann for instance) that are right on top of the ice
rink and reasonably priced. Certainly not the Schatzalp (which you have to see even if you don't stay there) - the views of the entire valley are
unforgettable.

Actually, I was thinking of renting a car and driving up there. Last year I drove a Tuareg from Geneva to St Moritz and back, and I loved every minute of it.
It was a bit expensive though
There are some hotel rooms available in Klosters, however I would really prefer to stay in Davos. Or I can just go for Saturday's performance and leave the same night. I guess I'm greedy, because I can't settle for that just yet, I want to be there both days! By the way, there is nothing posted on Davos' official website yet.... Anna

I don't have much internet time here in San Francisco, but per the Quiet Haven forum, Alexei skated to three numbers at the St. Petersburg show. He and and
Valeria skated to "Parisienne Walkways" and "8 1/2" (Fellini), and then Alexei skated to "Bumbarash" solo with two or three
triple jumps.
I'll try and round up photos/video/what have you when I get the chance online or when I get home. Laurie |

Here's the program list, again from the Quiet Haven forum - bear in mind the computer translator might come up with strange titles for the numbers, LOL:
Act 1 Barrels Abt - Blunder Fate (that's what the translation has it as, but I'm sure that's not the name of the number) Grebenshikova & Tikhonov - The Wedding Alexei & Valeria - Parisienne Walkways Drobiazko & Vanagas - White Horse of Malinina Lobacheva & Shevelkov - Libertango Arntgolts & Staviski - The Morning Coat Slutskaya & Taranda - The Swan Totmianina & Marinin - new number Navka & Kolganov - VA Strizhenova & Tikhonov - Abba number (from the finale) Alferova & Vanagas - the robbers number Babenko & Kostomarov - Piaf (?) Drobiazko & Miller - The Matrix Gordeeva & Beroev - The Slow Star Alexei - solo version of Bumbarash Act 2 Orlov- Tikhonov - air acrobatics Arntgolts & Staviski - Scorpions number Totmianina & Marinin - tango Alexei & Valeria - 8 1/2 (Fellini) Drobiazko & Miller - Carmen Alferova & Vanagas - Munchhausen Petrova & Tikhonov - Everybody Babenko & Kostomarov - Love and the Pigeons Gordeeva & Beroev - the Polish tango Navka & Kolganov - 17 instants Marat & Ilya - new number Slutskaya - Gypsy Navka & Kostomarov - Horses are Priveredlivye Must have been quite the show! Many thanks for the information! So it seems Sasha Abt will not perform in Kiev?! Is it sure? :-((
Anyway, I'm looking forward to watch Alexei there and I hope it's possible to take some photos.

Concerning Davos: last year I was here http://www.sporthotel-clavadel.ch/
It's nice there, not to expensive and about 1 km far from Davos. You can go by bus to the ice rink! Sorry for my bad English ;-)

Thanks for the information, Irene! Your English is great.
I hope everyone can perform in Kiev, and we will all look forward to your photos! I just got up over here in this time zone - I will see what there is to find out about the performance list. Laurie |

Thanks for the hotel tip for Davos! Good to know that there is also the alternative of using the bus, even though I intend to have a Q7 at my disposal, for my
personal driving pleasure
