I'm starting to think about going, LOL. It's so ridiculously expensive, but, on the other hand, it's Worlds in the U.S. And in California, even - how can I not go, LOL? But I'm seriously considering getting the least expensive tickets. I can't believe that they won't have a hard time selling the more expensive seats and so there will be lots of empty places. There are seven official hotels clustered within a mile of the venue, but there are also smaller, independent hotels (not chains) which are less expensive than the official ones, and are also within walking distance of the venue. My recommendation to anyone going is to pay for the cheapest tickets and either move down when all the fancy folks who pay but don't bother to show up don't show up, or not care where you are sitting for the comp, but make sure you get to all the practices early enough to sit where you want - that's almost worth the price alone. I'll be spending a lot more time watching practices than watching the competition, LOL. Laurie
