Brian Joubert is out with a serious foot injury (cut his tendon to the bone with the skate blade from the other foot during a jump). Reading about it makes me think he's going to have a hard uphill climb for Vancouver because of lost training time. When you need surgery now, it doesn't bode well. Strange how this happened again to him, but I think the last time was not as serious as this one.

Yu-Na is looking like an unstoppable force of nature. The James Bond theme was a departure for her but I liked it. She looked stunning too.
I think Yukari Nakano's Phantom program is in the early running to be one of my favorites this year. I'm a sucker for that music, it's beautifully put together & she skated it very well for first time out.

According to Korean articles, she will be skating in the Ice All Stars show in Korea on August 14 through 16, 2009. This is a different show than the Super
