I can't believe it, LOL - a major figure skating event comes to within a few hours easy drive for me - no planes!

I also love the venue and the location - lots of nice hotels within easy walking distance, restaurants, pubs, shopping - all close by, and there's a nice park with music bands often playing there, too. Excellent choice, USFSA!

Well, my new Ice Network subscription was a success ..so a few quick impressions from tonight:

Yu-Na is looking like an unstoppable force of nature. The James Bond theme was a departure for her but I liked it. She looked stunning too.
I think Yukari Nakano's Phantom program is in the early running to be one of my favorites this year. I'm a sucker for that music, it's beautifully put together & she skated it very well for first time out.
Mao did not...
